This article discusses the Phone Numbers page as seen by Enterprises inside the ConnecttoTeams Enterprise Portal. It also shows various information about service capability and assignment (use) of the phone numbers.
Phone Numbers Table
From the Enterprise Admin Menu, click on Phone Numbers menu item. The Phone Numbers screen is then displayed.
The Phone Numbers table lists all the phone numbers available for use by the enterprise. These phone numbers include those added by your service provider and your own uploaded numbers if you are allowed by the service provider.
The columns in the table are:
Phone Number
Assigned To : The target user or object using the ConnecttoTeams Services on the phone number. The assignee is shown as a hyperlink and clicking on it redirects to a screen where relevant configuration can be modified.
Capabilities : Shows for phone number with voice capability and
for SMS capability. If you need a capability to be added to your phone number, contact your ConnecttoTeams service provider.
Services : Shows the ConnecttoTeams Services configured on the phone number.
Changing Capabilities
Reseller may change the capabilities of the phone number. For instructions, check Manage Phone Numbers.
Quick Search
Use the search box to find specific phone numbers.
Advanced Searches
Click on the Advanced Phone Number Search button to show other pre-determined filters as shown below.
All Unassigned Numbers : phone numbers, regardless of capability, not assigned to any user
Available Voice Numbers : phone numbers with voice capability, and not assigned to any user
Available ET Numbers : phone numbers designated for use in external trunks and not assigned to an external trunk
Available OC Numbers : phone numbers designated for use with Operator Connect and not assigned to an operator connector trunk
Available SMS Numbers : phone numbers with SMS capability and not assigned to user or SMS group
Assigned PBX Numbers : phone numbers designated for use with PBX and assigned to users
Assigned CallApp Numbers : phone numbers designated for use with PBX and assigned to users for CallApp calling
Assigned ET Numbers : phone numbers designated for use in external trunks and assigned to an external trunk
Assigned OC Numbers : phone numbers designated for use with Operator Connect and assigned to an OC trunk
Assigned SMS Numbers : phone numbers with SMS capability and assigned to user or SMS group
Assigning and Un-assigning Phone Numbers
This Phone Numbers page provides no functionality to assign or un-assign phone numbers to target users or configurations. The said tasks can be carried out in individual service configuration screens. These are discussed further in Manage Users: Add, Configure, Delete Individually or in Bulk.
Upload Phone Numbers
As an Enterprise Admin, you may be able to upload phone numbers using the file upload feature. Once phone numbers are uploaded into ConnecttoTeams.
Your ConnecttoTeams Service Provider is the authority who could allow you to upload phone numbers. Reach out to your service provider if you want this functionality.
Instruction to Reseller
To allow enterprise to upload phone numbers, tick the Allow External Numbers checkbox when adding or editing an enterprise.
Follow these steps to upload phone numbers.
Click on Upload Phone Numbers button at the top right area of the Phone Numbers page.
The Bulk Upload Phone Numbers screen is displayed.Click the Sample File Format hyperlink (#1 in the picture) to get the template of the upload file.
Prepare the file to be uploaded.
- Country Code : Fill in the country code of the phone numbers to be uploads
- Phone Number : The phone number without the country code prefix
- Voice : If phone number is voice enabled and you want to use the phone number with ConnecttoTeams services, set toTRUE
. Otherwise, supplyFALSE
.
- SMS : If phone number is SMS enabled in the underlying provider and you want to use the phone number with ConnecttoTeams SMS apps, set toTRUE
. Otherwise, set toFALSE
.
- Fax : Fax is not yet a launched service by ConnecttoTeams, but if you plan to use this number for faxing in the future, set toTRUE
. Otherwise, set toFALSE
.- Voice Route Type : For voice capable numbers, provide the routing assignment you plan for this phone number. The values are:
Direct Routing
- for PBX or SIP TrunkExternal Trunk
- exclusively for External Trunk connectionOperator Connect
- exclusively for numbers hosted in Operator ConnectWhen the file is ready, supply the rest of the Upload Phone Numbers form:
Voice Carrier Name (#2) : The carrier for the voice part. Currently, ConnecttoTeams does not use this for any specific purpose. So, leave this as “Assign Voice Carrier Later” or chooseTeamMate
.SMS Carrier Profile (#3) : If the phone number is capable for SMS, select the SMS Carrier Profile containing the right credentials. The credentials will be used for successful sending of outbound SMS. Choose the applicable carrier profile or choose “Assign SMS Carrier Later” if that is applicable for your situation. Upload Phone Numbers (#3) : Choose the file you prepared in step 2.

The selection is in the format of
Underlying Carrier Name(Carrier Profile Name) - (Assigned Owner)
. As an example,Bandwidth(BW for Testing) - (Demo Company)
implies the SMS is hosted by the underlying providerBandwidth
and the credentials are stored in carrier profile namedBW for Testing
and such profile is owned byDemo Company
. If there is no available SMS Carrier Profile, please reach out to your ConnecttoTeams Service Provider.Click “Upload” button.
After ConnecttoTeams processes the file upload, the numbers will appear in the Phone Numbers table.
