- It can communicate with the SIP server to sync presence information
- It can generate adaptive call cards that can be displayed to a Teams user when pre-determined events occur (such as voicemail notifications)
- It can display the PBX user portal inside the Teams app.
- It is brand-able and can be customized to display your name, logo and other information.

One-Time Instructions to Enable Contact Notification Card
For enterprises that are already using the Teams PBX Application from releases earlier than 2.1, one additional permission must be granted, and the Teams PBX Application must be redeployed. The purpose of this additional Consent is to allow Contacts to be written into Teams from the third-party application.
The Global Administrator must log in to the Enterprise Portal. You will see in Enterprise Dashboard, within Enterprise Admin Action Items table a Grant Consent button next to the Teams PBX Application.
Click Grant Consent.
This will launch the Microsoft Permissions screen. Bew for release 2.1 is the permission "Read and write contacts in all mailboxes."
Click Accept button.
The Enterprise Dashboard will load again, but this time the Action Item next to the Teams PBX Application will be "Sync PBX App."
Click Sync PBX App button.
This will deploy the latest version of the PBX app to all users within the enterprise, thus granting them access to this new functionality.
Menu Card After Each Call
When these features are enabled for your enterprise, a notification card with a menu will appear after each call with potential follow-up actions:
Callback the recent phone number.
Schedule a meeting with the person at this phone number.
Add the person and phone number to your Teams (and Outlook) contacts.
Callback
Choosing Callback button will present the user with a confirmation screen.
Click "Start Call" to confirm.
Schedule Meeting
Schedule Meeting button launches the Teams Meeting native scheduling interface. The default meeting title will be "Meeting with [phone number]." You will be able to adjust all meeting fields to your requirements.
Add Contact
Add Contact button will open an interface with options to enter the name and email of the person who was just on the phone to a new Teams contact card with Phone Number field pre-populated with the other party’s Caller ID.
