This article introduces the Trunk Profiles page and discusses the various ways to manage - add, edit and delete - trunk profiles within the Enterprise Portal.
Introducing the Trunk Profiles page
From the Enterprise Admin Menu, click on the Profiles menu item within the Trunks subgroup.
SIP Trunk Profiles Table
The SIP Trunk Profiles table shows configurations of connections to various SIP Trunks you will use for MS Teams calling of your users.
The columns are:
Domain : Your SIP Domain.
Edge Proxy : This is the edge proxy in ConnecttoTeams network assigned to handle the trunk. This can't be edited so this is informational only.
Description : Your descriptive identification of the trunk. You may use text like “Customer Service Trunk,” or “Downtown Office
SBC Location : The ConnecttoTeams gateway the route was built on.
Outbound Proxy : The proxy address from the telecom provider being used.
Registration : This indicates whether the trunk was properly configured and successfully registered to the trunk provider. This indicator sometimes has a delay in turning green; you may be able to place calls before the dashboard acknowledges the registration is successful.
In Use : This indicates whether any users have been assigned to the trunk yet.
Actions : Allows you management actions on each trunk profile. You have the option to edit or delete a trunk profile. These are discussed in a little bit more detail below.
Quick Search Box
The search box allows you to quickly find trunk profiles in the table by entering a few characters that match the profile details shown in the table.
If the profile you're searching for isn't visible in this table, check in the Advanced Trunk Search > Disabled Trunk Profiles button.
Advanced Search for Disabled Trunk Profiles
In the main/active trunk profiles table, you have the option to disable a trunk profile. Going to Advance Trunk Search > Disabled Trunk Profiles will show all the disabled trunk profiles.
The available actions for each item in the table are:
Delete Trunk : To permanently delete a trunk profile.
Restore Trunk : To restore a trunk to make it available for use. It will then show up in the main/active trunk profile table.
Edit : To modify some details of the trunk profile. For a refresher on the meaning of each field, refer to Add Trunk Profile guide.
From the Advanced Trunk Search button, you have the option to go back to Active Trunk Profiles list.
Adding Trunk Profiles
There are 3 buttons to add a trunk; each button is for a specific trunk type. The instruction to add these trunks are detailed in the Add Trunk Profile article.
Disabling Trunk Profiles
The Disable Trunks button allows you to disable multiple trunks. When button is clicked, it shows you checkboxes so you could select multiple trunk profiles to disable.
The disabled trunks will appear no longer appear in the main Trunks Table but would be listed in the table seen when Advanced Search button is clicked and then clicking Disabled Trunk Profiles option.
Deleting Trunk Profiles s
Permanent deletion of trunks must be done from the list of disabled trunks. Disable first a trunk. Then, to permanently delete a trunk, go to Advanced Search > Disabled Trunk Profiles.
Then click on the … (3 dots) of the target trunk, then click Delete.
