Configure Connector for Vodia

The ConnecttoTeams PBX Connector is middleware that allows you to easily link the native Microsoft Teams softphone to a Vodia PBX.  

Once you have registered the Microsoft Office Tenant Enterprise through the ConnecttoTeams PBX Connector (steps 1 through 5 in the Setup Guide), you will need to to set up the Vodia PBX per the instructions below:

PBX SETTINGS

On the PBX Setting page please complete the required fields seen in the image below with the fields identified in Table 1.

Name this something descriptive, such as "downtown office" or "headquarters."

Some enterprises have multiple PBXs. Naming them helps reduce confusion.

PBX Outbound Transport Type

UDP

There are multiple options in this dropdown, but Vodia uses UDP.

PBX DNS Lookup Type

Host

There are multiple options in this dropdown, but Vodia uses Host.

PBX SIP Domain

This is found in the upper left-hand corner of the Vodia portal.

PBX SIP Domain Proxy

Same as the PBX SIP Domain

Some PBXs use a domain proxy. Vodia does not.

Voicemail Feature Code

This controls the feature code sent to the PBX to invoke check voicemail.

Vodia's default is *62 so this will be auto-populated, but change it if your enterprise is using a custom code.

PBX SIP Domain Proxy Port

5060

If you are using a non-standard port enter it in this field.

Codecs

Leave as default

ConnecttoTeamssupports multiple codecs. Vodia uses G.711.

USER SETTINGS

Once you have the PBX Setup complete, move on the Step 7 in the Setup Guide and add Vodia PBX Users as seen in the Add User screen in Figure 2 while linking them to the corresponding Teams user for the specified SIP UserID by following the field mapping information in Table 2

Teams Users with the right licensing will be presented in the dropdown for selection.

Phone Number

3 to 15 digits

Number or extension associated with the Vodia PBX User.  Can be DID or Extension.  Must be unique in the Microsoft Enterprise.

Account Number

Some PBXs have different user IDs and Authentication IDs. With Vodia they are the same

SIP Password

Set this on the "Account Profile" for the user in Vodia.
