# When Secure SMS Feature is Enabled

This article describes the limited functionality available to a Teams user when the Secure SMS feature is on for their enterprise.

## Overview of the Secure SMS Feature

Secure SMS enhances message security by encrypting SMS content and restricting how messages are accessed and sent. For a full overview of this feature, including setup instructions, please refer to the article intended for your Microsoft Global Administrator [here](/v1/docs/secure-sms-1).

When Secure SMS is enabled, the **SMS Page** is disabled. As a result, the functionality described in [Using the SMS Application within Teams](/docs/user-experience-when-secure-sms-feature-is-on#) is not available to end users.
