# Setting Up Enterprise for Chat with the Unified Connector App

This article guides Enterprise Admins through setting up chat with external platforms (Slack, Zoom, Webex) using the **Unified Connector App**. It ties together the deployment, connection, and user-enablement steps, each covered in detail in the linked articles.

## Before You Begin

- Your ConnecttoTeams Service Provider must [**enable the Chat service for the enterprise**](/v1/docs/enabling-chat-service-for-enterprise) and [**deploy the Unified Connector App template**](/v1/docs/customize-and-deploy-unified-connector-app-for-an-enterprise).
- Each Teams user that will use Chat Connector needs specific Microsoft 365 license. See [**Microsoft Licensing for Unified Connector**](/v1/docs/microsoft-licensing-for-unified-connector).

## Step 1: Deploy and sync the Unified Connector App

## Step 2: Connect a Slack workspace

Teams users can also invite external contacts directly from the Unified Connector App using the AI Messaging Assistant.

## Step 3: Enable Chat for users
