# Microsoft Licensing for Unified Connector

Users of the **SMS** or **Chat** services within the Unified Connector App must have an SMB-level Microsoft 365 license (for example, Business Basic or higher). This requirement exists because these services depend on file sharing and storage capabilities provided by OneDrive for Business and SharePoint Online, which are included only in these license tiers.
