# Manage SMS Users : Disable User, Add or Remove Phone Numbers

This article discusses how to add and/or remove SMS numbers from an SMS user. Basically, adding to or removing SMS phone numbers is editing the user.

## Disable SMS User

1. Start by navigating to the Users page. There are 3 possibilities where you can see the Users page. Check them here: [Viewing SMS Users](/v1/docs/configure-sms-users#viewing-sms-users).

3. If wanting to disable the SMS service for this user completely, uncheck the **Enable SMS Service** checkbox.

4. Push the changes to the Microsoft system and MS Teams user by sync’ing the relevant app. - If the enterprise is using the legacy SMS Connector app, go to the Enterprise Dashboard and click the **Sync SMS App** button. ## **Add or Remove Phone Numbers from SMS User**

3. To add phone numbers to the SMS user, from the **Unassigned DIDs** list, highlight the numbers and click > to move numbers to the **Assigned DID(s)** list.
