Caller ID Presented to Callees

Dial out from conference bridge will always show the number of the Default Conference Bridge of the Tenant.

If the organizer of the meeting does not have an Audio Conferencing license, the caller ID will be that of the participant that is initiating the dial-out.

Dial Out Call Routing

  • If the meeting organizer has an Audio Conferencing (AC) license assigned without an OnlineAudioConferencingRoutingPolicy assigned, calls will route outbound using Microsoft's online audio conferencing bridge PSTN route. Dialed numbers must be in E.164 format to route via online PSTN routing service.

  • If the meeting organizer has an AC license with an OnlineAudioConferencingRoutingPolicy, calls will route via

    • Direct Routing if the number dialed matches customer's configured route, or

    • Microsoft's Online audio conferencing bridge PSTN route if the number dialed doesn't match a tenant configured Direct Routing route or the number is a global PSTN target.

  • If the meeting organizer does not have an AC license assigned, but has an Enterprise Voice enabled user with a Phone System license, then calls will route

    • Via online pstn calling if the user is assigned a calling plan license.

    • Via customer configured online voice routes if the user is a direct routing user.
