# Deploy and Sync the PBX Connector App

The PBX App is an optional accessory to the PBX Connector service. Once it is installed by a user, it enables user-specific information to be exchanged between Teams and the PBX or UCaaS server. Some of the capabilities of the PBX App are:

- It can communicate with the SIP server to sync presence information
- It can generate adaptive call cards that can be displayed to a Teams user when pre-determined events occur (such as voicemail notifications)
- It can display the PBX user portal inside the Teams app.
- It is brand-able and can be customized to display your name, logo and other information.

This document guides an Enterprise Admin in deploying the PBX Connector App into an organization’s Microsoft Teams catalog.

## Before You Begin

- Arrange with your ConnecttoTeams service provider to enable the **PBX** service for your enterprise account.
- Arrange with your ConnecttoTeams service provider to save the app settings in the App Management page.
- Learn about the general guide in [PBX Connector Installation Step-by-Step Guide](/v1/docs/pbx-connector-installation-step-by-step-guide).

## **Troubleshooting the App**

If the Enterprise wants to redeploy the app or if there's an issue deploying the app:

1. The Service Provider will need to change the Team Name or the Application name (Short Name).
2. The app will be slated for 'Sync' again.
3. The Enterprise Admin will then perform another sync for the app to be deployed afresh.
4. If the new changes failed to be deployed, [clean up the app on the Teams side](/v1/docs/delete-the-teams-application-in-microsoft-365) and try again.

Your desired short name for the app. This is used in the app store to help users recognize that they have found the correct app when they search.
