# Accepting Teams Invite in Slack is Not Working

## **Problem**

When a Slack user accepts an invite from a Teams user, nothing happens.

After clicking the **Confirm** button, no channel representing the Teams user appears.

## **Possible Cause**

The *TeamsLink* app needs to create a private channel to represent the direct connection between the Slack and Teams users. If your Slack workspace settings prevent members from creating private channels, this process will fail silently.

## **Solution**

To resolve the issue, follow these steps:

**Step 1: Remove the Existing Chat History in Teams**

On the Teams side, remove the chat history from the group chat that was created to represent the Slack user. This clears any residual data from the failed connection attempt and allows a fresh link to be established.

**Step 2: Enable Private Channel Creation in Slack** Ensure your Slack workspace allows members to create private channels. This permission is required for the TeamsLink app to establish the connection. **Step 3: Retry the Invite Confirmation in Slack**

After confirming that private channels can be created, the Slack user should click the **Confirm** button again to complete the connection.
